Nardra - The Northern Continent
The Human Lands
- Gard - Chivalric Feudal Kingdom. Currently over-crowded due to refugees from Ustergard.
- Gwyll - Celtic Feudal - Conquered by Gard 20 years ago
- Veldar - Fjords and small islands, Viking Raiders, no central authority, loose council of Jarls.
The Badlands
- Ustergard - The Lost Kingdom. Once part of Gard. Overrun by Orcs, Goblins, Trolls 13 years ago led by Xador and the Orcs and Ogres from the White Mts.
- The White Mountains - Orcs and Snow Ogres
- The Darkling Forest - Goblins and Dark Elves
- The Western Wastes - Nomadic Orc Bands and Goblin Wolf-riders
The Elven Lands
- Silvanor - The Great Forest, The Elven-King’s City and the Faerie Lands. Intruders into this land are executed.
- The Fortunate Isles - a string of islands 300 miles south of Silvanor are shielded from the full force of the Storms. The Elven King , Silvanus, is friendly with the Royal House of Gard. 500 years ago he began to allow human settlers to build homes in the Fortunate Isles. The ruler of the Isles, Elf-Earl Imrik, now acts as Earl for the humans.
The Dwarven Lands
- Mithrildor - The Dwarven Mountain Kingdom.
- Boland - The wooded foothills south of Mithrildor, home of the Gnomes.
Sudra - The Southern Continent
- Kesh - Steaming Jungles - orc and human tribes, lizard-men
- The Karnesh Mountains - Ogre Magi
- Khana - Vast Samurai Empire , ruled by the Saurians
- Rysha - Desert (nomadic "Arabic" tribes) paying tribute to Khana but not totally conquered. There are rumours of a vast civilisation further South.
- Asherak - including a string of islands to the east. Home of the Red Orcs.
The Gardic Cities
- Tor Meliath
- The Capital of Gard and centre of the Earldom of Kingsreach. Tor Meliath is famous for the Royal Tower and the Great Iron Bridge which spans the King’s River on 4 huge stone pillars. The Cathedral of Oban is here and the Great Temple of Mortus.
- Wall
- This huge military city stands where the Wall (similar to the Great Wall of China) meets the bank of the Stone River. There are a number of gates through the wall, each guarded by a small castle, often with a town. The lands Beyond are rough and dangerous but south of the Wall is peaceful. The Great Temple of Mithras is here. The Wall continues some way across Ustergard but is broken and unguarded, at least by humans.
- East Port
- This is the second largest city. It is almost entirely based on shipping. The Gardic Navy is based here rather than at Tor Meliath as the natural harbour is far better. The main shipping route is along the coast to Tor Meliath, The Fortunate Isles and the settlements of the Black Coast but a large number of river boats journey up and down to Wall. East Port is where all the cargo is moved between Ships and Boats.
- Caer Angol
- This city (more of a town) has grown up around the Castle. Nearby is the Monastery of Galadorn in the foothills of Mithrildor.
- Tor Wyneth
- The new city. Capital of the Earldom of North Mark.
JADE and other Planes of Existence
Because of the surrounding Chaos, there is no direct link from Jade to the various other Planes of the AD&D multiverse. All extra-planar spells are re-directed to the Shadowlands. Spells making things Ethereal now make them Intangible like ghosts but do not move them into the Ethereal Plane. Any spells which transport things to other planes only move them to the Shadowlands or into Chaos.
There are many places in Jade which have links to the Shadowlands. Some of these links come and go, others are permanent.
Creatures from beyond Jade can get into the world by accident or be summoned by spells. However, getting out of Jade is almost impossible.
