These are the Player Characters active in Jade
The High-Level Adventurers...
- Skorian
- Renegade Dark Elf Mage. Skorian has passed out of Jade
with Morag. The only good-aligned Dark Elf in Jade. (Or
at least, not evil)
- Rufus Barrimore
- Once an Inquisitor of Mortus, after a recent adventure in
the Dreamworld, Rufus was transformed into a Angel and
now guards a crystal at the Heart of the Dreaming that is
some kind of channel for the Gods. This adventure was
transmitted as a confusing dream to all the people of
Jade and now he is the focus of a new religion. (He
wanted to know that which Man was not meant to know)
- Ragnar Red-Axe
- A mighty Norse Warrior from beyond the Great Barrier. For
his part in the expedition to the Southlands that
succeeded in postponing the Invasion for a couple of
years, Ragnar has been made Earl of the Black Coast. (Not
a man to cross.)
- Morag Red-Axe
- Morag is the daughter of Ragnar, a
Warrior/Sorceress.Morag has passed out of Jade now with
Skorian aboard the Ship of Torkas, Lord of Storms. (It's
hard to explain who her mother was but, when she takes
off her horned helmet, she's still wearing the horns.)
- Artur
- A Talon (a sort of Ninja) from the Southlands. Now in the
service of the Kingdom of Gard. (Not entirely trusted
by his new friends but definitely not welcome at home.)
- Melander
- Elven Warrior-Mage from the Fortunate Isles.Melander was
killed on the Isle of the Sisters and then re-born in the
form of a Lios Alfar, a kind of ancient faerie elf. (For
whom even death was only a temporary incovenience.)
Adventurers in Meredwyr...
- Math Meredwyr
- A philosopher/mage from the Province of Meredwyr (A
seer and visionary)
- Drax Meredwyr
- A Gwyll warrior, younger brother of Math, recently
honoured by the Abbott of Galadorn for his heroic efforts
in sealing a ShadowRift. (Math and Drax are as alike
as chalk and cheese, but I've met brighter cheese.)
- Millie Hatter
- She is the owner of a small hat shop in the town of Dun
Mered. (She wears leather and is light on her feet,
does that give you any clues)
- Celembine Mistwalker
- Elven Druid from Silvanor. A wise and mysterious elf,
named ForestFriend by the small community of faerie folk
on the borders of Meredwyr.(Studying humans is quite
interesting. They manage to cram a lot into their brief
and pointless lives.)
- Krondike Isambard
- Dwarven Warrior and Weaponsmith. Krondike became the
possessor of a Circlet of Rage with which he becomes an
unstoppable berserker. He has left his companions and
returned to his Clan to raise an army in defense of
Mithrilldor. (Aaaaargh)
- Dolfor Hunter
- Gwyll Huntsman (a Ranger whose specialist enemy is animals)
He is a violent man when drunk and hates the Gardic
overlords. He has left his companions to support the
terrorists of Banas Tirog. (Freedom Fighters, not
terrorists)
These are a few of the semi-retired Player Characters
who appear from time to time in cameo roles
- Part Lankhor
- Elven Wizard who became too powerful for Jade to contain.
He and his magical Tower are now adrift in the Sea of
Chaos which surrounds Jade. Master of the Key of Time
(one of a set of powerful Jade Artefacts)
- Lord Scribeau of the Wall
- Aging ex-paladin, once wielder of the runesword Nemesis.
The destruction of his sword has left him much-weakened
and sometimes bitter.
- Wintel HighOak
- Elven Warlock, one-time companion of Scribeau. Keeper of
the Key of Winter
- Tal
- Recently made First Knight of Mithras. Head of the Church
of Mithras.
- Malik
- Grand Inquisitor of Mortus. Head of the Church of Mortus.
Keeper of the Key of Fire
- Balor - King of the Dwarves
- Lost somewhere in the multiverse. He has been awaiting
trial in Limbo for about seven years (our time) about
twenty years game time. He and his companions are charged
with reckless use of a device which can open permanent
portals between the Planes.
- Ash
- A human wizard, companion to Balor. He died but didn't
realise for several weeks. As a reward for his posthumous
services, Ash was returned to life by one of the Arch
Dukes of Hell.
- Martin
- Human Warrior, a bit of a nutter. Awaiting Trial with
Balor.
