The dates are given in the Elvish calendar upto the Awakening of the Gods, from which point the dates are given AD (After Dei). The Elves continue to use their system as the Gods mean little to them.

Creation

The Daemon War

23,000 Jade split into two continents, drifting apart
25,000 Dwarves created

Interregnum

35,000 Orkish Races flourish on both continents
40,000 Gnomes evolve from Dwarves
Daemons begin to influence the Orks - daemon-priests appear
Arachne creates the Drow (Dark Elves)

The Web War

45,000 Elves & Dwarves & Men ally against the Dark Elves and Goblins
45,500 Dark Elves driven into the earth under the Darkling Forest followed by a time of relative peace for Elves, Dwarves and Men.

The Fimbulwinter

50,000 Orcs & Ogres from the White Mts conquer the East. They force an alliance with all the Orkish Races (including some Men).
50,200 Shar Gazoth - City of Agonies is built in the East containing altars to each of the Daemons. A new sect of priest-necromancers empowered by all the Daemons (The Keepers of the Undead) begin to raise an Undead Army. The East is covered by the Fimbulwinter.
55,000 Gnomes begin to raid into Silvanor seeking Faerie treasures
Elf-Dwarf War (Men serve as mercenaries to both sides)
Orcs & Ogres from the White Mts invade Mithrildor from the north while the Elves are attacking from the south. They are aided by Undead from Shar Gazoth.
55,137 Truce between Elves & Dwarves as the Fimbulwinter spreads from North and East to cover the entire land.
40,000 100 year winter in the North. The dwarves are almost wiped out, the Tribes of Man are forced into slavery. The Elves retreat to the Fortunate Isles except for a few elven rangers & druids left to defend the Faerie Woods. Lillith’s worshippers over-run the northern continent.

The Coming of Gods

55,237 0 AD Three Gods of Man, Oban, Mortus and Mithras appear to Men in visions. The Dwarven God - Durin appears to the dwarves in visions.
2-11 AD Men (aided by their new priesthood) begin to drive the invaders out of the south and central areas. Dwarves (aided by their new priesthood) drive the invaders out of Mithrildor.
12 AD Elves return to Silvanor and the Fimbulwinter is lifted.

The Rise of Humanity

250 AD The city of Tor Meliath is founded. Many of the Tribes of Men unite under, Magnus Ironhand, the First King of Gard.
930 AD A mixed party of adventurers go North into the Land of Ice and Snow and attack the Tower of Glass (crippling Lillith’s powerbase).
940 AD The alliance of Orks in Shar Gazoth breaks up into conflict between the factions. Shar Gazoth itself is deserted and The Keepers of the Undead vanish.
1050 AD Men from Gard begin to populate the East (Ustergard), driving out the Orks.

Human History Books begin about here ...

The political situation stabilises in the lands of Man.:- Gard (including the Earldoms of Kingsreach, Angolin and Ustergard), Gwyll and far to the west, Veldar. Gardic civilisation is heavily dependent on the coast and great rivers and suffers from constant raids by Veldaran longships and by Red Orc Raiders from the southern continent. There is no way to prevent the Red Orcs as Gardic ships cannot cross the Sea of Storms. The Sea of Storms has become more and more dangerous, with storms and sea monsters and the Red Orc ships. It is thought that both the Red Orcs and the Veldarans have made deals with Torkas Lord of Storms and their ships are much faster than Gardic vessels and are rarely lost at sea. They are hostile to everyone (including each other). The Elves have even faster ships (20-man yachts) but even they rarely risk heading further south than the Fortunate Isles.

The Continuing Rise of Humanity

1062 AD Founding of the city of East Port and the strengthening of the Gardic Fleet. Merchant shipping remains close to land except when heading for the Fortunate Isles and Gardic warships patrol and escort.
1098 AD The people of Gard begin to build The Wall as protection against the Orks to the North. (a 350 mile wall with a string of Forts it takes 35 years to complete). A city, called Wall is built at the eastern end. The land beyond the Wall is known as Beyond.
1200 AD The Men of Gard make many attempts to settle in the barren hills of the Western Wastes but the colonies fail after a few years due to poor harvests and attacks by nomadic tribes of mounted orcs and goblins.
1400 AD Gardic folk begin to settle in the Beyond. (usually second sons of Lords looking for lands of their own).
1486 AD The King of Gard makes an alliance with the Elven King. Human settlers are welcomed in the Fortunate Isles. The Elven Earl of the Isles is invested as a joint vassal of both crowns. Non-elves are still forbidden from entering Silvanor.
1494 AD The King of Gard makes an alliance with the Dwarven King. He offers military support in the on-going fight with Orcs & Ogres
1495 AD Dwarven engineers (from Clan Isambard) assist the men of Gard in building huge iron bridges. One in Tor Meliath, two others near Caer Angol, leading to the West and three more across the river Stone into Ustergard. The Wall is extended east.
1500 AD The King of Gard brings the Elven and Dwarven kings together to sign a Peace Treaty. The terms call for mutual aid in times of War.

Five Hundred Years of Peace ...

There are 500 years of comparative peace. There are occasional skirmishes with the Gwyll, frequent skirmishes with Orcs in the North and coastal raids by Red Orcs from over the Sea and Veldaran longships. The Fortunate Islanders prosper and sea-borne trade with the Mainland increases. There is a more successful attempt to colonise the West. A number of seaside settlements are founded (called The Black Coast because of the basalt rocks) and begin to expand into the barren hills.

The beginnings of trouble between Gard and Gwyll. The two cultures have always been very separate. The Gwyll follow the Druidic Faith and laws of inheritance which split all land equally among all sons (whereas the people of Gard worship the Three Gods and follow the Rule of Primogeniture).

About 120 Years Ago

1857 AD Famine in Gwyll. Thanes elect Warlord "Pendragon" and begin raiding into Angolin
1859 AD Gardic army drives the Gwyll back to their own lands.A series of Border Forts are built to keep the peace.
1860 AD The Pendragon brings in Orc Mercenaries from the White Mts to overrun the Borders and conquer Angolin. Although many of the Thanes objected, the majority followed. Thousands of Angols were taken as slaves to the North.
1863 AD Gard defeats the Orcs and Gwyll, recapturing Angolin and reinforcing the Borders.
1864 AD The Thanes execute the Pendragon and drive out the Orcs.

More recently, about 20 years ago ...

1936 AD The Thanes of the Gwyll complain to the King of Gard that the Lords of the Border Forts are raiding their lands. (this may have been true). The thanes elect a Pendragon and attack the Borders.
1939 AD The Army of Gard conquers Gwyll completely. Laws are passed outlawing Gwyll language and customs (including the Druidic Faith). Gwyll is re-named as North Mark.
1941 AD Building of Tor Wyneth (new Gardic capital of North Mark).

Gwyll Today ...

The Gwyll are treated as a lower class of citizen in the eyes of the Law. If a Gwyll kills a Gard, the Gwyll and his entire family are executed. The severity of this varies from manor to manor. Lords from Angolin tend to oppress their gwyllic serfs more overtly than Lords from other areas of Gard. The current King, Darion and the new Earl of North Mark, Rothschild, are encouraging a more liberal attitude. Darion revoked the Anti-Druidism Laws a few years ago.

Invasion of Ustergard

1947-55 AD Invasion of Ustergard by Xador & Orcs from the North. Refugees flee west across the river.

The latest campaign started in the year 1960 AD. That's Jade Time not Earth Time. (I was only just born then).
